Virtual group therapy

We provide individuals with the opportunity to participate in profound and powerful experiences that can be offered in group therapy.   For many people group therapy can be more powerful and life-changing than individual therapy. The experience of becoming aware of your own feelings and processing them in a group setting can foster self-acceptance, empowerment, and confidence. Self-acceptance allows us to become our best selves.

Groups can assist with feelings of alienation, isolation; as well as increase a sense of accountability, agency, and empowerment.  As such, membership in a group can help people overcome personal difficulties that can prevent them from achieving satisfaction and fulfillment in life. Finally, we believe that group therapy makes the therapeutic process more relatable and affordable, preserves treatment effectiveness, and increases access to quality care.

The Sister Circle Experience

Dr. Christina Camp has earned a reputation for her expertise in creating safe and therapeutic healing spaces for Black women that honor both vulnerability and strength. Through the Sister Circle Experience, women gain support in attending to unhealthy themes and patterns in relationships, identify coping mechanisms for managing societal biases, and develop solution-focused strategies for self-empowerment.

Graduate Student Group

Our Student Circles provide graduate students with the opportunity to come together and talk through their shared experiences and life stressors during the pandemic. Through the group experience, students are provided with a space to process feelings of uncertainty, discuss academic and general life concerns, develop new coping strategies, and build a sense of community. This group is designed to increase resilience, decrease social isolation, and support the development of solution-focused coping strategies.

This group provides an educational experience and support for allies seeking to engage in antiracism work. In a safe space, participants are engaged with educational content, experiential exercises, group process and therapeutic support to assist them in further developing their skills in allyship.
