racialized Trauma, Restoration & Empowerment circle (rtrec)
This 10-week group series is offered to people of African descent and is designed to address the effects of chronic racial stress/trauma. Facilitators will: (1) create a safe, affirming space for participants to process shared experiences of racism, oppression, and microaggressions; and (2) support individuals in reclaiming their voices by developing a language for their experiences through storytelling; engaging the grief process; identifying and expressing of unmet needs, thereby building upon their strengths and refining their abilities to engage proactive coping strategies that serve to empower, mitigate racism-related stress, and restore agency.
Who We Serve
This support group provides a safe space for those who identify as being of African ancestry and who are experiencing racial stress, anxiety, or trauma. In addition to being provided with support in processing these experiences, participants are also introduced to proactive coping strategies that foster empowerment and mitigate racism-related stress.
Location:
Virtual Platform; up to 8 participants per group
Group sessions will be conducted virtually via a HIPAA compliant video platform.

Wednesdays, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm EST

Our Rates
The fee for this experience is $60 per week for a 10-week period.
